I left Trisha's place a little after 8:00 a.m. on Thursday as she was going off to work. From her place I got on I90 up to Rockford IL and then headed west to Des Moines IA. On the way to Chicago I had followed the Wisconsin side of the river; this time I followed the Iowa/Minnesota side of the river. I arrived at Hasting around 5:00 and rather than fight rush hour traffic through the city, I followed the St. Croix river north and then home from there. I arrived home (safe and sound and without incident) around 7:00 p.m. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed this evening!
Total Mileage: 5,430 in 13 days!
Final thoughts about the trip should be posted in a few days.
