Day 11 - Go West Young (Sorta) Man, Go West

Today I continued west and drove through West Virginia, Ohio, and Indiana (510 miles today!). The remainder of West Virgina and Ohio (up to Columbus) were scenic. Curvy roads, varied terrain, and enough unique small towns to keep it interesting. However, after Columbus, it flattens out quickly and become flat farm land. The air is fresh and it is nice to see the crops (being a farm boy after all), but it is nothing to exciting to write about. There isn't much here for camping spots either! At one point when I was taking a break, I looked at my KOA campground book and saw there was one in Crawfordsville Indiana. It was in line with my general direction across Indiana and so I made it my destination for the evening. As I was approaching, I saw lightening and heard thunder so I got registered at the campground and got camp set up before the rain set in. Made it!

This is the 2nd night that I have had rain but my stuff and I are still dry. Fortunately, I have had very little rain during the day; only a few passing showers. I have not had to alter my plans or routes at all during this trip due to weather conditions.
